My parakeet's leg is bleeding? Help ASAP?

Recently my parakeet's had an egg hatch. Today, the baby has fledged. The mother was trying to get the baby back in the cage for some reason. And she was trying to drag the baby bird in. The dad was trying to protect the baby. While trying to protect the baby, the dad was bit by the mother. Now, his leg is bleeding. I have separated the baby from the parents because the baby was causing the conflict. I do not want to separate the father right now because it causes him to stir and make him bleed even more. What do I do? PLEASE HELP!
