Has anyone ever kept a chihuahua as an outside dog?

I have asked this question already but know it all people keep on saying that it is cruelty and blah blah blah. I bet most of them do not even have a chihuahua! I want advise from somebody who does have a chihuahua and keeps it outside but still cares for it and spends hours every day to go out and interact with it. What success did you have keeping it outside? Is the chihuahua still friendly and healthy with no problems? What special care and extra research and cost is involved in keeping it outside? Do not bother answering if you do not have a chihuahua and do not keep it outside or at least outside most of the time. I only trust the advice of people who have had experience with this.
